Weekend Memories

We didn't make it to the beach for Thanksgiving this year so we headed down the first week in December.





It was cool but beautiful.......

Alex needed a little time to rest.....

I love the beach this time of year. Vacant and pristine.

We snuck daddy away from work today and headed to the AG museum to see the animals and trains.

Tucker started crying when we boarded the train. He would not tell us why. He had been looking forward to this all morning. Hours later he said he cried because he wanted to ride in the caboose.

The boys love going to the bookstore. I hope they continue to love to read as they get older.



Alex spotted this pretty little blonde. He started saying " peek a boo, peek a boo, peek a boo". She did not say anything back but did move away from Alex. I looked over and he had moved next to her on the stool. He is only 2 but knows a pretty girl when he sees one.

Fourth of July at Nana and Pop's House

The last 2 years have passed quickly. It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming these precious boys into the world. They are such a joy and I can't imagine life without them.













They love baloons. They are still running through the house with them.

Beach Babies

We went to the beach last week and the boys loved it!!!





They played for hours in the sand









They loved the waves. The bigger the better!!

Alex was so excited he could hardly stand it. He ran up and down the beach for miles our last day.

Mother's day 2009

They were so sweet bringing my gifts to me on Sunday morning.

I'm the luckiest mother in the world!!

First Haircut

On May 8th we took Alex and Tucker for their first haircut!

Tucker was hesitant but tolerated the cut just fine...

Especially when she brushed his hair out as big as it could get

Weekend Getaway to New Orleans

We took a quick trip to New Orleans this weekend for a visit to the aquarium, zoo and golf tournement.

I have not been back to New Orleans in several years. It was fun to stroll the streets again.

This was the first night we have stayed in a hotel room with the boys. It was quite an experience to have them in a confined space overnight. We did not leave rested the next morning.

The luggage cart was a big hit.

Sunday we headed to the zoo. We loved it. It was a beautiful day and the boys had a great time.

Notice Tucker leaning forward and taking everything in. He was this way the entire day.

They got to pet a snake and a lizard. The zoo keepers had to remind Alex not to squeeze the lizard. He got a little excited!

Alex and Tucker love pools of water and fountains. We stopped at every one.

Alex loved the carousel. He cried when the ride was over. He did not want me to hold on to him while it was going either. He rode like a big boy.

We had a great weekend.

It was a quiet ride home....

Tucker and his "Bah"

Tucker and Alex got these blankets for Easter last year. They have always enjoyed having them at bedtime but Tucker has a new and deeper love for his "Bah".





It keeps him warm on chilly mornings ....




He takes it for rides in his car...





It protects him when he is in the wild outdoors...




it doubles as a cape when he wants to be a super hero.....





and is his robe when he is king!

Easter 2009

Fun at Nana and Pop's House

Any day is fun at Nana and Pop's house but yesterday the boys had an adorable wheenbarrow filled with goodies waiting for them.










They had their first chocolate bunnies.




They loved it!





Then we played in the back yard with the new toys and looked for eggs.
